First impressions count. If you want to put a professional face forward for your business, you need the right look and feel for your marketing materials. If your budget doesn’t extend to using a graphic designer, the good news is that you can do it yourself using Canva.

This easy-to-use design program makes it easy to create branded graphics for your business including social media posts, brochures and a range of other branded materials.

This is a hands on workshop, so you will need a laptop and login details for your Canva account. Canva is free to join, visit canva.com to register prior to the workshop.

This topic covers:

  • The basics of using Canva.
  • How to set up brand-consistent designs and templates.
  • How to create professional looking designs and videos.
  • How to choose the right template and content for each design.
  • How to post directly from Canva to your Facebook business page.

This workshop is for people who are in business and want to learn a simple way to create graphic design elements to build their brand.

The facilitator of this topic, Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) is dedicated to helping small business owners thrive through expert advice, hands-on workshops and building a community of like-minded people.

This workshop is presented by the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), on behalf of the City of Swan. The SBDC is a Western Australian Government agency that helps small business owners to start well, survive and thrive.
