Council & Committee Meetings
In accordance with the Local Government Act 1995, City of Swan elected members meet regularly to make decisions on governing the local government.
Ordinary Council Meetings are the formal decision-making process of the Council that generally take place every four weeks. Special Council Meetings are called on an ‘as needed’ basis.
Agenda Forums are held on the Wednesday prior to each Ordinary Council Meeting. These forums are not for decision-making, rather they allow Councillors to hear deputations and seek additional information prior to formal considerations at the Ordinary Council Meeting. To guide the procedures for these forums, Council have adopted a Guideline for Council Agenda Forums.
Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Midland Town Hall, 312 Great Eastern Highway, Midland.
The City of Swan’s Committees and Advisory Groups also meet on a regular basis to consider matters, and where appropriate make recommendations, to Council in their specific areas of responsibility.
Sign up to our Council meeting email notifications to receive an email when the agenda and minutes are available.
