Swan Active Midland

After an anticipated 18-month closure, the scheduled reopening of the project has unfortunately been delayed by a few issues. These include site conditions, shortages, supply disruptions, and complications caused by COVID-19.

Our community can expect to enjoy a brand-new Swan Active Midland that caters to all members. The facility will have improved access throughout, with multiple upgraded features including:

• An expanded gym with state-of-the-art equipment and dedicated change rooms
• New pools equipped with modern tiling, improved stairs and ramp access
• Depth changes to the lap pool
• New water play features in the leisure pool
• A new spa with improved access
• Café featuring indoor and semi-outdoor alfresco dining areas
• Crèche complete with indoor and semi-outdoor play areas, including its very own playground
• Four improved sports courts featuring enhanced ventilation throughout
• New dedicated group fitness and wellness rooms.

No work will occur to the outdoor pool area during this refurbishment. However, the outdoor area is planned for improvement in the future.

Swan Active Midland is a place that everyone can enjoy. Key improvements to accessibility and inclusivity include:

• A new ramp and stair access with handrails to the pool
• Varying depths to the lap pool
• A new accessible changeroom
• Improved access and new design to the spa.

Our two Swan Active centres in Beechboro and Ballajura have recently undergone similar refurbishments and are open for use.
