Death & Dying for Beginners Series - Befriending Grief and Loss

Event description

Join us for a playful, thought provoking series of community education workshops to support  you to engage with end of life planning in a new way! Your host, Erin, hopes you leave feeling inspired by the multitude of end of life possibilities - we have more choice and control than we are led to believe. You'll also develop skills to have conversations with the people most important to you about your end-of-life plans. This is a death and grief literacy skill building series where each workshop is connected. We recommend if possible that you attend all four, but any is better than none.

This  workshop will gently touch on types of grief, strategies to manage our own grief, and tips on how we can support others on their grieving journey.

Grief is a necessary and natural part of life, and isn't just reserved for bereavement when someone dies. We can grieve many things, many times over. Grief is something we all go through, and can grow through, when we get to know it a bit better.

This is week 1 of a 4 week series exploring all aspects of end-of-life.

The other sessions are as follows:
6th June: Befriending Grief and Loss
13th June: End of Life Matters
20th June: Choosing Your Legacy

Please book in as spaces are limited.
This program is suitable for adults, aged 18+ and is a hands-on workshop. Please book one ticket for each person attending. Photography and videography may be taken at this event. Images and footage may be used by the City of Swan and event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
