Unrestricted Burning Period

The unrestricted burning period runs from Sunday, June 1 to Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

During the unrestricted burning period, you can burn without a permit subject to the following conditions:
- Your property is over 2000sqm
- You are only burning vegetative or untreated wood.
All burning (including exemptions) is prohibited when a total fire ban is declared.
Midland Library closure

Please note that Midland Library will be closed on Saturday, August 9, and Saturday, August 16, 2025, due to maintenance works.

All other Swan libraries, as well as our eLibrary, will be available as usual.

Event description

Join local artist Louise Hamill as she guides and encourages you to create expressive drawings and paintings based on flowers and plants. You will be shown how to use a wide selection of artistic mediums, including watercolour, pencil, ink, pen, pastels and more.

Please book in as spaces are limited.

This program is suitable for 18+ and is a hands-on workshop. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please book one ticket for each person attending.
