Pride 2025 – what’s on in Libraries

Event description

Throughout November, our libraries will feature rainbow arches, created by a local artist, and book displays featuring our LGBTQIA+ collection.

There will also be a range of new programs alongside regular programs that will be Pride themed for the month.

Library Programs

  • Pride Flag Friendship Bracelets. Drop in at the Bullseye Youth Centre and create your own Pride themed Friendship Bracelets. November 4, 3.30-4.30pm. Bullseye Youth Centre drop-in (12-17 years)
  • Rainbow Family Day: November 19, 10am-12noon Ballajura Library (families with children of all ages)
    • Featuring Pride themed crafts, face painting, Futures Lab activities and fun for the whole family.
  • Pride Tote Bags: Drop in and create your own Pride tote bag. November 25, Bullseye Youth Centre drop-in (12-17 years) 

Regular/recurring programs throughout November will be Pride themed

  • Monthly Rainbow Reads book club (13 years+), delivered in partnership with Our Place in Midland, 4.30-5.30pm
  • Art Jam drop-in sessions
    • Beechboro Library: Mondays 4-5pm (13-25 years)
    • Ballajura Library: fortnightly Thursdays, 3.30-4.30pm (13-25 years)
