Prohibited burning period has started

The City of Swans Prohibited burning period commenced on December 1, 2025 and runs to March 31, 2026. All burning is prohibited including garden refuse and campfires.

High call volumes

Please note that we are currently experiencing a high volume of calls. Alternatively, submit your request online.
Changes to kerbside bin collection days this holiday season

As Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on a Thursday, your usual kerbside collection may be picked up one day after your normal collection day.

If your usual collection day is:
- Thursday, December 25, 2025, your bin will be collected on Friday, December 26, 2025
- Friday, December 26, 2025, your bin will be collected on Saturday, December 27, 2025
- Thursday, January 1, 2026, your bin will be collected on Friday, January 2, 2026
- Friday, January 2, 2026, your bin will be collected on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Bins must be placed out by 6am.

Recycling centre closures

The Recycling Centre – Malaga and Recycling Centre – Bullsbrook (including Containers For Change) will be closed Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2025 and New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Standard operating hours apply for the rest of the festive period.

Event description

A time to get together and discuss what you would like the book club to look like in 2026. We can plan for guest speakers, special events and themes for the months. We can also design and make some promotional resources such as book bags, bookmarks, and fliers.

Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Please book in as spaces are limited.
This program is suitable for ages 13 - 18 and is book club. Please book one ticket for each person attending. Photography and videography may be taken at this event. Images and footage may be used by the City of Swan and event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
