Introduction to Auslan

Event description

Kim Kossenberg, an experienced Auslan teacher, will lead 8 sessions which teach basic skills to communicate with Deaf people in Auslan.

Over the course of this program, Kim will guide you through finger spelling, greetings and a wide range of other topics that involve simple, everyday language.

Please note that registrations for this program are for the entire 8-week program. Please ensure you can attend each session before registering.

  • Session 1: Thursday, February 5 | 5.30 - 7.30pm
  • Session 2: Thursday, February 12 | 5.30 - 7.30pm
  • Session 3: Thursday, February 19 | 5.30 - 7.30pm
  • Session 4: Thursday, February 26 | 5.30 - 7.30pm
  • Session 5: Thursday, March 5 | 5.30 - 7.30pm
  • Session 6: Thursday, March 12 | 5.30 - 7.30pm
  • Session 7: Thursday, March 19 | 5.30 - 7.30pm
  • Session 8: Thursday, March 26 | 5.30 - 7.30pm

Please book in as spaces are limited.  
This program is suitable for ages 16+ and is a hands-on workshop. Please book one ticket for each person attending. Photography and videography may be taken at this event. Images and footage may be used by the City of Swan and event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
