Midvale Skate Park: skateboard, scooter and BMX coaching

Event description

Freestyle now will be facilitating a fun and informative coaching session at Stratton Skatepark for skateboard, scooter and BMX participants.

Facilitators analyse the participants' skill level and work from that base to help build confidence. Coaches speak the participants’ language and relay the importance of safety, helmets and how they can minimise injuries. Freestyle Now team members will be present to offer participants technical advice, trick tips, skill development and skatepark etiquette.

All participants need their own equipment, helmet and closed-in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Coaches may be able to help with some minor adjustments (scooter/BMX bar straightening, skate/rollerskate truck/wheel tightening) before the session starts if required and time permitting.

Participants under the age of six will be tested on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus.
