Join us for a community focused drop-in session where sustainability meets creativity!

Make your own water colours

Join natural dye artist Carly from Rivarossa Botanicals for a hands-on creative workshop exploring the magic of plant-based colour. Using fresh and dried flowers, you’ll learn how to extract beautiful, natural pigments to create your own watercolours and botanical inks. We’ll also experiment with everyday household products to see how they shift and transform colours. A playful introduction to eco-friendly art making for beginners and the curious.

Need some help with repairing household items?

Need help with tech? Have a wobbly chair or ripped jeans? Bring them to Swan Repair Café. Skilled community volunteers will help you fix clothing, other household textiles (like doonas), plush toys, household items, small tech appliances and more.

Clothes swap

Want to refresh your wardrobe without buying new items? There will be a clothes swap available where you can bring up to 10 items and take as many or as few as you like.

Book swap

Want to refresh your bookshelf without buying more books? Check out our community book swap where you can bring up to six books and take as many or as few as you like.

Drop-in anytime throughout the session to take advantage of the free mending services. It is a great way to reduce waste, learn re-purposing skills and connect with your community over a cup of coffee or tea.

How does it work?

This is a registered drop-in session community event (like a small market) where you will be able to visit each of the stalls independently and swap clothes, books, get your household items repaired and make your own watercolours.
