In Australia, allergies are very common. For every 100 customers in your business two of them may have a food allergy. Below are some helpful resources:

Another helpful resource is an allergen matrix. This is an easy reference document, put together by you or your staff, to go to when you need to know if a dish on your menu contains any allergens.
We regularly conduct unannounced inspections of food premises. However, we cannot be everywhere all the time and do rely on members of the public also reporting issues to us.
